The boundary of my body, rather an event horizon is a performance at the intersection of sound art, interactive art, sound installation, and sound scenography.

The work starts from the human body’s dual role as an electrical conductor and a sonic source. Skin is approached as a permeable membrane — not just perceiving the world, but transforming it through touch that produces sound. Nimbert Ambrus’ installation creates an interactive scenic environment and functions here as a metaphor for interconnectivity within a complex circuit, activated by the dynamic, sentient, and transmitting body.

Initiated by choreographer Alexandra Gîrbea through Concentric Projects, the piece is developed in collaboration with Uțu Pascu (sound design), Denis Bolborea (choreography), Nimbert Ambrus (installation), and Andreea Novac (choreographic dramaturgy).

Part of the ongoing Electric Somatic project unfolding in Timișoara throughout 2025, this performance is presented as a work-in-progress — a glimpse into the team’s current stage of research.

The premiere is set to take place at the end of October, in both Timișoara and Bucharest.
