Exuvie is an immersive audiovisual work exploring transformation, memory, and impermanence. Taking its name from “exuviae” (what is shed), it examines how the body absorbs and retains traces of the past, with dancer Rebeka Mondovics’ choreography treating the body as a living archive where memory and movement merge. Brigitte Faessler’s visuals blend analog and digital techniques, drawing on Bacon, Lynch, Almodóvar, and Dalí to create uncanny inner landscapes. Büchi’s score weaves electroacoustic, orchestral, and rhythmic elements with echoes of video games, anime, and hip hop. Together, sound, movement, and image form a fragile meditation on what remains after change.
Noémi Büchi is a Swiss/French composer and sound artist who creates and explores the potential of cross-genre musical structures. Her music is defined by a delicate synthesis of textural rhythms and electroacoustic-orchestral abstraction. She contrasts rhythmic physicality with disruption and playfully emphasizes irregularities, creating an expansive listening experience marked by detail and elevation. Her musical work moves in the areas of electroacoustic composition, live performances, audiovisual shows, music for film, music for contemporary dance, music for installations, music for theater and orchestral works.
